Signature Brownies

 
 

Ingredients

1 package fudge brownie mix for 13x9 pan (such as Betty Crocker 18.3 oz)

eggs, amount per brownie mix

water, amount per brownie mix

oil, amount per brownie mix

1 orange, zested

1 tablespoon triple sec (optional)

1 bar 70%+ dark chocolate (3 - 4 oz), chopped

1/2 cup dried cranberries

1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 13x9 glass pan with shortening.

  2. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions, adding the orange zest with the wet ingredients. If mix calls for water, sub 1 tablespoon of the water with triple sec.

  3. Fold in the chocolate, cranberries and walnuts.

  4. Transfer to the greased pan and spread in an even layer.

  5. Bake per time specified by the mix, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. Cool pan on a wire rack, then carefully cut.
